The time of “rishta dhundo” is a dreaded phase by everyone, especially women, thanks to the notion of the ultimate goal of the life of a woman. This sketch provides the documentation of that phase from a woman’s perspective. The sketch starts with the lady of the hour questioning the choice of rishtas of her parents. The thought of “they just want to get me married quickly” looms heavy on her head. This turns into the questioning the concept of marriage itself featuring the anxieties of a marital life and the sexual anxieties attached to it. The fear of compromising too much also enters the ring. Thanks to being cornered by society and parents to marry however, the woman starts to idealize the type of guy she wants to marry.
